# From children's classrooms to local adaptation.

# The flood returns. The plan does not.
Climate disruption is already part of childhood in the communities where we work. Floods and extreme weather interrupt learning, safety, and daily life. Yet children are rarely supported to adapt to it, and the local systems meant to prepare and respond rarely treat climate as their work. What a community knows and what its institutions do stay disconnected. We work to close that gap, from the classroom to the systems that shape how a place adapts.

## ReGen began in classrooms, the first place children learn to understand, respond to, and live with climate change.

## To Learn
We teach climate concepts using local examples children recognize floods, heat, monsoons, so that climate change makes sense in their daily lives, not just textbooks.

## To Act
We build confidence and leadership through small, age-appropriate actions, group challenges, and problem-solving, so that children learn how to respond, not freeze.

## To Heal
We support children’s emotional steadiness through stories, reflection, and shared classroom activities , helping them feel safe enough to learn and participate during uncertainty.
# A classroom is where it starts, not where it ends.
We began in classrooms because that is where the flood reaches children first. But a child who understands the flood cannot change how the ward plans for it. That takes the people who hold local decisions. So we are following the problem outward, from the classroom into how municipalities adapt, plan, and respond, carrying what children and communities know to the places those decisions are made. The classroom stays our root. What grows from it is the work of helping a place adapt.
